Concrete protection and curing

The two most common methods of consolidation is are vibration and roller compacting.  Vibration is a mechanical process that transfers pulses of shear energy to the concrete, usually by a probe that is inserted several inches into the concrete.

CONCRETE  PROTECTION
Protection must be planned and available for all exposed and and fresh concrete surfaces .particular attention need be made to the surface sheen of concrete as the surface will disappears .so the protective measures that can be taken to prevent premature surface drying include :fog misting application of monomolecular films ,wind brakers ,etc. protective measures to reduce thermal gradients on exposed surfaces include the application of insulated tarps on heated enclosures.

CONCRETE CURING
Curing provides the temperature and moisture conditions for the period of time necessary for concrete to develop its strength durability and other properties .
Method of curing depends upon the exposure class of the concrete and the end use of the concrete surface.
